I’m so Lucky

This post is brought to you by CJ Affiliate’s VIP service. Thank you Lucky Brand for sponsoring this post. While this was a sponsored opportunity from Lucky Brand, all content & opinions expressed here are my own.

You guys all probably know that I’m tall. Like 6 feet tall. So as you can probably imagine, finding jeans can be somewhat challenging. When I was in college I happened to have a neighbor in my dorm who was also very tall – 6’1″ actually! It was like doubling my wardrobe when we lived on the same wing, it was great!

She introduced me to a brand of jeans that has stuck with me since. Because when you’re as tall as we are, you stick with the brands that work! She let me wear some of her Lucky Brand jeans and not only were they comfortable, they went all the way to the floor. Like all the way down, guys. After years of trying not to look like I was waiting for a flood, this was huge for me.

Flash forward 14 years (wait… is that right? Am I that old?? *sigh*) and Lucky Brand is still doing their thing. Making quality jeans at good prices for all shapes and sizes. Although Lucky Brand works for me because I’m tall, they definitely have so many options in a variety of lengths. I chose 32″ inseam for the skinny jeans, but they had 29, 30, 32, & even 34 in some styles. This year I needed some dark wash skinny jeans to wear with booties but also to be able to fit in my knee high boots as well.

While I was browsing around online, I also saw some seriously cute tops, shoes, sweaters, bags – you name it! I honestly didn’t know that Lucky Brand had so many cute extras! I bought a cute plaid shirt, skinny jeans and adorable black booties. The plaid shirt may look like a regular plaid shirt from the front, but just wait…

Doesn’t the button detail on the back make it so much cuter? They had a lot of tops to look through, but the plaid jumped out at me as cute and then I saw the detail on the back and was sold. The shirt is soft and flowy, not at all stiff like some collared shirts might be. I went a size up because I have wider shoulders and it’s perfect. It’s long enough in the arms and torso and the buttons don’t threaten to pop off in the chest area, if you know what I mean. Of course, that isn’t usually an issue of mine..

I originally ordered online but I wanted to make sure the fit was just what I wanted (I don’t buy jeans that much, I need to make sure they count!) so I went in the store and tried on a bunch of jeans. I ended up choosing the Brooke Legging Jean (which are 50% off right now). It was perfect for what I was looking for. I wanted something long enough to wear with booties or flats but skinny enough to go under knee-high boots without bunching up at the top. These work perfectly!
