Silk’n #NoShaveWave Review

I can’t be the only one out there that hates shaving. I’m sure there are a few (or more than a few!) who are like “preach it, sister!”

See, I’m Italian. Or mostly Italian anyway. I got the Italian dark hair and the German/English white body. Not a good mix if you know what I mean. That means when I don’t shave my legs, you can see my hair and my legs just look dirty. And most of the time, they’re not dirty! (sometimes they are… lol)

I also know that there’s this new, or maybe not-so-new, trend happening right now. The “if there is hair there, it’s meant to be there, so leave it.” Nah. Not for me. If there’s hair there and I don’t want it there, I get rid of it. On a regular basis. And if I didn’t, I’d be one hairy momma!

I have always dreamed of getting rid of my hair permanently because that would mean less work for me. And less “oh shoot, am I bathing suit ready? …nope, darn.” But then you have to find the right person to do it right and go into an office multiple times and hope it works. Instead, I’m trying an at home version. Silk’n Flash&Go device was sent to me recently and so far, I love it.

Silk’n Flash&Go at Home Permanent Hair Removal

It’s a small, sleek device that doesn’t take up your entire bathroom. In fact, it fits in a nice, neat case that comes with the product. And it’s really surprising how easy it is to use. I was quite intimidated at first, to be honest, because I’ve never done anything like this before. I was thinking “what if I mess up? What if I can’t figure it out? Ack!” But then I plugged it in, let it load, read the instructions and bam, I was doing it.

The Flash&Go is a small, sleek, hand-held device which makes it easy to use. The cord is long enough which makes it convenient to use. And it comes with a lot of instructions for nervous users like me! Turns out, I had no reason to be nervous, it is explained well in the booklet & seriously user friendly!

You can use the device on anywhere that you shave. I started with my under arms & inner thigh. These are the most annoying parts for me. If you use it consistently over a period of 8 – 10 weeks you should see anywhere from 65 -75% reduction of hair in that area. Count me in! I plan on using it throughout the winter so that summer will be an easier situation, if you know what I mean!

It was hard to grab a picture of it in action because it happens really quick. You put it on the skin and push the activate button. Then a little pop sound is made and a flash of light go off. You can feel it a little bit, but nothing painful at all. Then you move on to the next area! Easy-peezy!

The Silk’n Flash&Go device is available at Bed, Bath, & Beyond, Khol’s, Ulta, and select Target  locations. Get out and grab one now and start prepping for swimsuit season now! You’ll definitely be thankful you cut down getting ready time come June! I know I’m excited about it! 🙂

Do you get stubble? Could you use it on neck hair?

Yes, you get stubble until you’ve done it enough times for it to stop the hair all together. I’m not there yet, but it’s slowed things down for me for sure.
