A Fall Get Together with Phenomenal Women

You might know that I have been able to be a Lean Cuisine brand ambassador this past summer. It really has been such a privilege for a number of reasons. For starters, I loved the idea of the campaign. They want to “Feed your Phenomenal™” to feed the greatness in every woman. How awesome is that? They wanted to encourage women to weigh what matters, which I’m a huge fan of. Weight on the scale is just a number. Yes, it is important to live a healthy lifestyle, eating healthy food and exercising, but we put too much emphasis on what that number says. You can check out that post here, there’s a great video included that is worth checking out. Second of all, I like their food!! I try for the most part to do all our cooking at home from scratch. But as we all know, that is not 100% possible 100% of the time. There are nights that get crazy or nights that I am tired and dinner is just not gonna happen. What are our other options? Fast food? Dining out? Those are both not so healthy & expensive and I really prefer to avoid them if I can. Lean Cuisine has dishes that contain no preservatives, are free of GMO’s, contain organic ingredients even gluten-free! Not to mention that they just taste good. lean cuisine dishes So now that I’ve stocked up on some of my favorite Lean Cuisine dishes, I no longer feel like I have to run through a drive-through or spend too much money when I’m stuck in a pinch. I just whip out my Lean Cuisine! Oh and my kids like them. Wins all around! Recently I hosted a small get together with some phenomenal women in my life. My momma, who I just think is the greatest. My sister-in-law, who impressively handles her three little girls with such grace and love, and my friend Bri who is a soon-to-be momma! We each got to taste a Lean Cuisine dish, chat, laugh and enjoy ourselves! Fall table decor We decorated the table for fall even though it’s been in the 100’s here for a while. Sheesh, I’m ready for that to be done with! It was so fun to do something for these ladies in a small setting because you can make it more special. We each started with a Lean Cuisine dish in front of us and we had a few bites and then passed it to the next person so that we could all try each of them. Then we all had our favorites and finished them off! The four flavors we tried are called Pomegranate ChickenVermont White Cheddar Mac & CheeseSweet and Spicy Korean-Style Beef, and Spicy Beef and Bean Enchilada from their Marketplace line. 4 lean cuisine flavors It was actually really fun. I mean, I love these ladies and always enjoy their company, so of course we’d enjoy ourselves, but it was just such a neat slice of life. My sister-in-law came over with her whole family, my brother and their 3 girls. My boys absolutely adore their girl cousins, so they were running here and there playing. Until, of course, they saw the food come out. Then all my kids wanted was a bite! eating together enjoying lean cuisine cheers Thanks to my brother for getting all creative and saying “now do cheers!” and grabbing some cool shots. So now I’ll tell you about each dish we tried and who loved which one!

Pomegranate Chicken

lean cuisine pomegranate chicken First off, food photography is hard!! Second of all, I really liked this dish. The sauce was pretty sweet and I just love green beans, so all together it was perfect for me! This Lean Cuisine dish has no preservatives, is high in protein and gluten-free! It also has 15% daily value of vitamin C. This ended up being a favorite for Bri.

Vermont White Cheddar Mac and Cheese

lean cuisine's vermont mac and cheese This one was a favorite of everyone. It was just plain yummy! You know what was my favorite thing about this one? I looked at the ingredients on the box like I usually do expecting to see artificial coloring or something but there’s none! It was just the pasta, organic butter and cheese all of which are GMO-free. And it.was.good.

Sweet and Spicy Korean Style Beef

lean cuisine korean beef If you’re looking for a high protein dish, this one is for you. It’s got 15 grams of protein and is gluten-free. And in case you’re wondering, it’s not too spicy! I don’t like really spicy food and this dish was perfect. This was Ashley’s favorite one!

Spicy Beef and Been Enchilada

spicy beef and bean enchilada This one was my favorite! Obviously not too spicy because otherwise it wouldn’t have been my favorite. I like Mexican food for the most part if it isn’t too greasy and cheesy. These enchiladas are made with ingredients that are naturally gluten-free and it also has no preservatives. Obviously Lean Cuisine has quite a few more options than just these four, I have stocked up on these and a few others for times when I just can’t get around to cooking. That way I don’t feel bad about eating out, spending too much money or eating unhealthy.
