But my goal here on this blog is to always find ways to encourage you guys. We’re in this together ladies. We’re all fighting our own battles – big and small – learning a few tips to help pick you up along the way will always come in handy!

They are so simple too, which if you’ve read here for a while, you know that’s exactly my style. I’m all about taking what could be difficult or too much and making it work for our busy, every day lives. I hope you find these tips helpful! Give them a try and report back!

Simple makeup routine

If we’re being realistic, we don’t have time to put on a full face of makeup every day. It’s not practical and most of the time, I don’t even want to! I also don’t want to look horrible, so a little makeup is a good idea most days. It’s amazing how on days where you’re put together and you happen to catch yourself in the mirror and it’s not a complete scare. Ya, those are the best. I don’t, however, think there’s any help for the times when you think you look good and then you turn on your camera and it’s on selfie mode. Ya. #theworst.

Let me tell you a little secret. It’s just as easy to slip on something cute – even just jeans & a tee – as it is to slip on yoga pants. I know, mind-blowing information over here! But seriously, it doesn’t have to be something super nice or heels or anything like that. Just slip on some skinny jeans & a flowy top with the front half-tuck going on. DONE. Or some boyfriend jeans with your favorite white tee. DONE. It’s easy and you feel so much better than if you had stayed in your sweats. I promise! Which in turn helps you get so much more done. Just speaking from my own personal experience here!

Do your hair

I know, this one is tough and it often alludes most of us. But once again, it doesn’t have to be some fancy updo or something that will take forever. How about if you normally wear a ponytail, try a side braid. If you normally wear your hair down, try half-up one day. It could even be as simple as braiding your bangs out of your face or wearing a headband. It will boost your confidence that day & the more practice you have the more it will boost your hair skills too! Win-win ladies!

Sounds funny, right? I hear ya, but think about it with me for a second. We are always so used to taking care of everyone else, we often forget our own simple things. Take a second to put on a face mask at night before bed. Paint your nails. Soak your feet, you deserve it!

Full disclosure – I just recently started working out consistently again. I was a total dud during the summer. But it’s amazing how you feel after you work out! And I’m not talking like full on 2 hour weights & cardio type thing. Heck, I don’t even think you have to have a gym membership to do it! Instead just do some squats, lunges, pushes & sit ups at home. Even if it’s just 30 minutes a day, that’s better than nothing! It’ll life your spirits and have you feeling great throughout the day!
