Incorporating Color in your Wardrobe

I’m showcasing the new Kleenex® Brand Ready to Care Collection by Betsey Johnson as part of a sponsored series with Socialstars. #KleenexBetseyStyle

I have never been a real girly girl. I grew up with two brothers and a bunch of boys cousins that I had to keep up with. Frills and skirts and tutus just weren’t on the agenda. I played sports, climbed trees and got dirty. So fashion trends and what designers were hot when was definitely not something I thought about.

When I got a little older and started to care a little more I started to notice designers. The one that always caught my eye that I absolutely loved was Betsey Johnson. She was funky and different and colorful. Her personal style was a little out there for me, but her creations were always something I adored.

You guys – she recently partnered with Kleenex® Brand to create the Ready to Care Collection by Betsey Johnson! I’m in love. It’s the Betsey I loved when I was in high school. Also, the month of March is Women’s History Month! The two go hand in hand really since Betsey contributed so much to the fashion world throughout the years. So I thought what a better way to celebrate, besides pack my purse full of the on-the-go packs, is to create an outfit inspired by her boxes!

And just in time for spring! Who is oh-so-ready to ditch the big coats and all the black and grey and jump into spring with some color?! I know I am! Once you see the Kleenex® boxes designed by Betsey Johnson, you’ll be inspired too. They are cute enough to use an decoration, or even to use by sliding your makeup brushes in with the tissues. You’ve got the brushes and the tissues there ready to use in really pretty packaging!

I die. Aren’t they amazing? I love the pops of pink, yellow and blue with the black patterns. I wanted to try incorporating color in my wardrobe with basics I already have. You all know I love my houndstooth blanket scarf. I don’t know if that’s the proper name, but it’s so big I’ve actually used it as a blanket before! After seeing the pink with the houndstooth, I knew I could do that with what I already have.

This pink cardigan is from Stitch Fix and it’s the perfect fit. It’s bright pink and looks great with the houndstooth scarf. This is the perfect spring outfit – lightweight cardigan, boyfriend jeans, and a scarf. I wore heels because I wanted to dress it up a little bit, but flats or wedges would be super cute too!

Another super cute way to incorporate color in your wardrobe is with these super cute Kleenex® Slim Pack. These are such fun little packages to pull out of your purse! I mean, if we have to wipe snotty noses, we might as well have cute Kleenex® packages to use! These will be the only ones I use from now on out!

I’m so inspired by these designs by Betsey Johnson. Besides already loving her as a designer and a person, I was super excited to see this collection. Kleenex® are something you need to have in your house and in your purse, you might as well have cute ones!

What colors are you inspired to add to your wardrobe thanks to the Betsey Johnson Ready to Care Collection? Which package will you be adding to your home & purse?

I have always been drawn to bright jewel tones – especially pink, it is so vibrant & happy no matter what time of year.

Betsey’s designs are so fun – these tissue boxes are great – I need to track down some ASAP!

P.S. my mind is already thinking about crafty possibilities with the boxes once the tissues are used up 🙂
