Updo for Straight Hair

Heyyy-ooo It’s Friday and it’s time for another hair tutorial! Today I am happy to announce that I’ve got all the straight-haired girls out there covered. Although, this would work on pretty much any type of hair. Most tutorials I see always start with really pretty curled hair, which is nice sometimes. But sometimes we need an updo for straight hair. A style you can just do, without taking the time to curl it all. Can I get an amen?

It’s actually very easy and I show you exactly how to do it in the video. It’s a knot-tying technique that I used to get the buns in the back. It’s the same technique I used here, but I think the video shows it clearer.

If you’re in a pinch, don’t have time to curl your hair, it’s messy or even dirty, this style is perfect. You twist a knot and pin, twist a knot and pin. I think the whole thing could take you about 10 minutes. This is the perfect style for a holiday party too! Check out the half up version over at Still Being Molly that I posted yesterday. I posted with pictures though, so you can combine that tutorial with this video and you’ve got two styles up your sleeve!

I am hoping to have a hair tutorial everyday next week to get you geared up for the holidays!! Let me know in the comments any styles or ideas of styles you’d like to see! Subscribe to my YouTube channel to be sure to get the videos when they come out!

Now watch and hopefully learn & enjoy this tutorial. I hope you get to give it a try soon!

Thank you for the tutorial! This looks easy enough for me. My children are in a wedding in a few weeks and I have been looking for an updo that will hold up pretty well and easy enough to fix if need be.
