Plaid is the New Black

There are so many good things about scarves. For one, they keep you warm. Two – they can be super cute. Three – they’re great for hiding your double chin. Case in point:

hide double chin

We took the first photo and I was all “nah… that’s not gonna work.” I pulled my scarf up over my double chin (we wanted to get the beautiful ceiling in the picture) and bam. Take two works out.

You can’t see it as well in the photo above, mainly because you’re probably looking at my double chin…. so let me share a better picture of the plaid scarf I’m wearing.

love my plaid scarf

That’s a little better. Although I do look rather tired… Let’s focus on the scarf… yes, the scarf. It’s the PEFECT scarf for fall! Plaid is IN like no one’s business and the beautiful blue-green colors are just perfect. I actually wear a lot of blue and brown, so this scarf goes with my wardrobe well. Also, my hair color, dontcha think? They all are just very fall-ish all blending together and everything.

wearing a plaid scarf

This is an infinity scarf and in the above pictures I have it wrapped around twice. However, when I was in Eastern Europe I wanted to make sure my whole neck was covered and WARM because it was fuh-reezing outside. For me anyway, I mean it was October, I’m sure it gets worse. Anyway, while I was there I wrapped it around 3 times so it was like a cute little turtle neck. But cuter. Because I don’t actually like turtle necks.

plaid scarf

Here are a few others from Ooh baby Designs. She has a TON of plaid scarves to choose from, YOU GUYS – you need to grab one for yourself. And a friend, they’d make a great Christmas present!

houndstooth scarf

I have a very large houndstooth scarf that I wear endlessly and shamelessly. This one would be a great addition to your wardrobe. Not to mention how super cozy it looks! If it’s anything like the one I have — and I imagine it is — then it’s divine. Promise.

red and black plaid scarf

I liked this one because of the chunky plaid. And the colors. And it’s volume. And the fact that it’d be so comfy. Yep. I really like this one.

red and yellow plaid scarf

I love this one. It looks like farmer-chic ya know? Is that even a thing? It’s either out there or genius, you decide. I’m going with genius. πŸ™‚

I haven’t even touched the surface of the options available in her shop, ya’ll need to check it out. Oh andΒ you can take 5% off with the code PLAID. You and your family and friends can just thank us later. πŸ˜‰

Hope you enjoyed this winter/fashion/scarf inspiration and that you’re able to grab one for yourself or a friend!

    I love scarves!!!

Living in South Florida it gets awful boring wearing tee shirts & shorts/capris all the time & I rely heavily on accessories to change up my look….being able to wear cozy warm scarves is something I look forward to when I travel to the great white north during the holidays.

Plaid is like leopard – both neutrals that never go out of style!

I totally agree about the plaid and leopard thing! It’s a fun neutral too! I think it would get tough in a place like Florida, I think it’s tough in Cali that the weather never changes really. Makes them more fun when you can wear them!
