You know what? Being a fashion/beauty blogger is hard. I admit, that sounds ridiculous, but hear me out. I’m not naturally a fashionista type person. I love looking and feeling good about myself, but it takes effort. I think that’s okay, I am who I am, but in this crazy internet world where it can look like everyone is perfect, I can sometimes feel a little inadequate.
I try to stay true to myself and be truly transparent with you guys. I don’t shop all the time because 1.) I can’t afford it and 2.) I don’t have the time. I am going to guess that the majority of women who read my blog are in a similar boat as I am. Ma Nouvelle Mode translates from French to ‘My New Style’ in English. I started this to get out of my sweats, out of a rut, and to look and feel better about myself. The blog has since morphed into trying to encourage those who get what I’m talking about. I want to show them simple ways to get your groove back without spending a lot of time or a lot of money. It’s okay to build your closet slowly, with what works for you. In fact, it’s the best way to do it! So I’ve put together 4 super cute outfits that are great for transitioning into fall.
Fall Fashion under $50!
Each piece is under $50 and each complete outfit is under $177. Everything is available online at JCPenney.com or you can check a store near you. I love that they have great deals and prices for the whole family & the home with coupons available! I did my back to school shopping for my kids there and am going to do some shopping for myself as well. They make it easy to add to your wardrobe with stylish items that you can mix and match with what you’ve already got. I appreciate a company that cares about your bottom line as well.
Easy Fall Fashion
Now, you can get every piece up there for under $150. I’d say that’s a pretty good outfit price. To top it off, each piece is under $45. Even if you can’t buy it all, or already have a few pieces and don’t need it all, you can still create a very cute outfit for not too much money.
I also must say that JCPenney is amazing about this. The whole time I was visiting their Plano, TX headquarters, this was always emphasized. It was never about having it all and spending it all. It was always about choosing what you want/need and working it into your existing wardrobe (or into your home) and piecing things together that way. They are presenting options for women to look and feel cute, pull their home together, and dress their families in a very practical way. How many stores can say that? I just love it.
I have a confession. I love love love the jumpsuit style! I actually own this one and this one. I’m tall, so sometimes it’s a bit of a challenge to get them to fit, but think about it — it’s a one piece you just slip on, no thinking about matching or what to wear with what. Just throw on shoes and a sweater and you’re done! With the look I put together above I chose a fancier outfit choice just to show you can dress them up as well. This jumpsuit might be my next purchase!
Maxi Dress Fall Fashion
This is my most expensive look that I’ve put together, but still there isn’t a piece that is over $50 making it very practical over all. Also, I love maxi dresses and even though they are very popular during the summer, I really think they were made for fall or spring. They seem to just get hot and trap all that heat in there. But for fall? And a beautiful pleated, light-weight one like this? Perfection.
Soft Pant Fall Fashion
Soft pants are the next big thing. Who needs yoga pants when you can pretty much wear pajama pants and not only is it accepted, it’s fashionable! I bought a pair when I was on my JCPenney trip and I can’t get enough. They’re very light so they work in the summer, but they also transition to fall seamlessly with a pair of booties and even a sweater. Here I’ve got some patterned ones which are adorable with a cream top that has lace shoulders. Top it off with cute booties, earrings, and a messenger bag and you’re good to go! You can get this entire outfit for only $135.46 and once again each piece is not more than $50.
I hope this is encouraging to you! You can add to your fall wardrobe without spending an arm and a leg. Just a few pieces here and there, take good care of your items, and learn to mix and match! Once again, you have a chance to win a $100 JCPenney Gift Card to shop at their stores or online! All you have to do is answer the following question in the credits:
