OneDay with my Kids

I will admit that I’m not the greatest at capturing moments with my kids. I just don’t always think to whip out the camera and snap a picture or get a video. It’s really a bummer because they grow up so fast and then all of a sudden they’re not babies anymore.

For example, just now as I’m writing this my younger son calls me into his room (he is supposed to be sleeping or at least falling asleep) and he asks me “Mom, can it not take long?” He does it pretty much every night. And man, it gets annoying. But he won’t always ask me that. There will come a time when he doesn’t even want or need a hug before bed. Will there? I hope not. I hope he always wants a hug.

I want to capture them, my boys. What they’re thinking, what do they want to be when they get older. The kinds of things you might forget to ask your kids in the crazy of every day. I know I’m not always thinking of those kinds of things.

I recently met the creator of a really cool app at BlogHer. The app is called OneDay. It’s where you can film your kids answering questions and they create a mini movie out of it with music and everything. They have preset categories where you are prompted to as certain questions, you know, just to get the conversation going. You can skip questions if you want too.

I made a few with my kids this morning. It was fun! Except for whatever reason Eli was not in the greatest mood. Then he’d watch himself and get embarrassed but not enough to stop watching. He’d always want to see another one! Tae on the other hand did great. Here he is talking about his little brother.

And this one is the boys being silly. I thought they’re really love it. Their dancing is… ummm.. special. They are funny little guys!

Check out the app here and download it for free! It might not always be free, so make sure you grab it now! They’ll also be adding some cool stuff for back to school soon. What a great memory to have at the beginning of the school year! If/when you download it, I’d love to hear which video you chose and how you liked it!

Have a great Tuesday!

I think it might be in the works though! You have to start somewhere!

This is super-cute. Not just for kids, lol! I’m the worse at taking pictures or capturing moments. It’s not in my nature to whip out a camera, but I really ought to get better at it. 🙂

Me neither! That’s why this was fun and good for me, I know I’ll be so glad I have it on camera!
