I did it. I’m tired, but I’m done.
If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen that I spent the weekend up in San Jose at BlogHer 2014. And it was amazing. The career of blogging is a funny thing and it’s hard to explain unless you actually are a blogger yourself. Living in France doesn’t help because most French women can’t even understand the concept of a blog, let alone that it can make money. So being surrounded by a bunch of like-minded people is truly a blessing.
This year in San Jose I got to work with Hairfinity, meet Denise Boutte (from Tyler Perry’s Why Did I Get Married?) and Khloe Kardasian. I got to film a video that is gonna turn out super cool, I just know it. The same guys that filmed our JCPenney videos were there. I loved what they did the first time around, so I can’t wait to see this one. And lastly I got to speak in the Style Mini-Conference! We got some great feedback too with some people even saying it was their favorite session! I call this all a win.
I don’t want to bore you with all the business side of blogging, even though that was amazing, but I thought it’d be fun to share my outfits! Being the bad blogger that I am, I don’t have good pictures of the first two outfits. But thankfully Saturday after our panel I was hanging out with Cece from Plus Size Princess and Chastity from Garner Style and these girls are actually good bloggers! They were taking outfit pictures and I hopped on it! Thanks Ladies!
Now keep in mind, this is at the end of the day, my hair is on day 3 without being washed and I was tired. I had been surviving on coffee and adrenaline and I was wiped out. I love this dress because it’s beyond comfortable. It’s basically a little slip dress and it feels like you’re wearing your pjs. It’s so soft! Not to mention it’s long enough for my 6 foot frame and that is always a plus.
My husband wanted me to wear a belt with it because he said it looked like I was wearing just a slip. I almost did but it was just so comfortable by itself and with the long BlogHer days I knew I wanted comfort. Besides, I think it was cuter! It’s an MNG by Mango dress that I found while shopping for this post. What can I say, I like to multi-task!
I am really loving how my hair color (Trieste Red by Madison Reed – read the full post on how I did it here) not only turned out but how it’s staying! I did it Tuesday before the conference so it would be fresh and it was! I actually ended up meeting the Madison Reed people there and was proud to say my hair was walking proof that their products are great! It would be great if they would just pay me to use the color, it’d be like a walking advertisement!
Well, there’s one outfit from my BlogHer experience. I was super comfortable and I felt good all at the same time. That’s my kind of outfit!
One of the things I decided I’d like to get into was YouTube. I want to share more of my life with you. My life in France, my life as a mom of boys, the craziness that entails living in between two countries. If you think that might be interesting, subscribe to my channel! If not, hang tight right here, I won’t bombard you with all of that!
Have a fabulous day!
