#7x7Remix LinkUp! Strut your Remixing Stuff!

I’m not gonna lie, I was totally lazy this time around. I mean between Subjonctif verb tenses, compliment object indirect, and what liaisons work where my mind’s just about maxed out! But I did it, I did my 7x7Remix.

Before I share, check out Cyndi’s blog – she’s hosting with me. She’s super stylish and such a lovely person. I know you’ll love her blog!

Now, I just have to irritate, if you haven’t done a 7×7 Remix, you need to. Like stat. Since starting my French classes I haven’t had time to think about what to where. I throw on the same couple things in different ways. I’m not uncute – I mean I do change out of my sweats, it’s just rather boring.

Just by taking the simple step of pulling out some pieces and thinking through how to pair them differently, I created new outfits that I haven’t worn before and that I love! And it didn’t take me long at all. I think it’s just the initial push I needed to step out of my easy box. I felt cute in my outfits!!

Here are the pieces I chose.

the pieces remix your closet

My red pants are from Zara but they’re a couple years old.

The black and white top above is from Kris and Kate. It’s not available anymore, but their site is super cute, lots to choose from!

The second one down is a grey sweater and I love it. I found it at H&M when I was shopping with a 16 year old. She approved it on me so I guess I’m good!?

The black sweater blouse is from Zara. It’s short so I have to wear leggings underneath.

And the skirt to the right is from StitchFix. It’s a little short when I wear it as a maxi, but I adore it as a dress! It ended up being my favorite look! Just another reason this challenge is so awesome, it makes you see pieces in a whole new light!

Here’s all the looks I put together.

7 pieces 7 ways

My most favorite are the ones where I thought outside of the box, like the maxi skirt as a dress. My least favorite are the ones that are normal. Something I would throw on without thinking. So I’m inspired. I really need to get my fashion act together!

It’s your turn!! Link up your fashion remixes! It doesn’t have to be a 7x7Remix, just any post where you’ve remixed some items of clothing. Then visit a few others around you for some remix inspiration. Hope on over to Cyndi’s blog and see what she’s put together also.

I love that maxi-skirt/dress. It’s beautiful on you! What a great re-mix. I saw Cindi’s this morning and was equally impressed. You guys are so creative with your clothes.

It’s actually a StitchFix Skirt! I love them because they send different items and they’re always cute. Here’s a link if you want to check it out: (it’s an affiliate link but the prices always stay the same for you! :))

It’s a short skirt…It’s a dress…It’s—a maxi skirt? You should do a post on the versatility of maxi skirts. Genius.

      I know, I should! I love it!

You should proofread this article! It was a turnoff to read where when its suppose to be wear. Not to be harsh but these kind of errors are noted by many especially in a public forum.

Thanks for letting me know. I usually have someone proofread them for me because I write them so fast I don’t always catch my mistakes. I know she would have caught that too, so maybe she didn’t get this post. Thanks for letting me know, I’ll fix it.
