Why I Love StitchFix

I have mentioned before about how I get a StitchFix box once a month when I am in the States. I really, really love StitchFix. I don’t think it’s for everyone, but I’ve had questions about it, so I thought I’d give my honest opinion here and you can decide for yourself if you’d like it or not!

This is not a paid post at all. I do, however, get a credit toward my next box if someone signs up through my link. Absolutely no pressure, I just want to always be upfront with ya’ll!

The most recent box I got was when I was in the States for my dad’s retirement dinner. I had it planned to come during that time so I could ‘get my fix’ while home, even if it was only for two weeks! I got this cute dress & sweater that I’m wearing, big pink studs that you can see in the next picture and a SUPER cute bag that I need to show you all soon.

Can you see the massive pink studs? Something I probably would have never bought for myself, but so glad to have! That’s one of the things I love about StitchFix. Let me explain.

Each month that you ask for it, they send you a box of goodies, usually four or five items. When you get the box you have three days to decide what you like and what you want to keep. You pay $20 for each “Fix.” If you don’t like anything and don’t want to keep anything in your box, you still pay the $20 to StitchFix. However, if you do decide to keep any of your box, the $20 you pay goes toward the items you are purchasing. If you decide to purchase your whole box you get another %25 percent off.

Why I love it. I love to shop, I love having new clothes, I love the process of it all. However, I don’t always have time to shop. Scratch that, I rarely have time to shop. Therefore I just don’t shop. But having StitchFix is like having your own personal stylist send you a box of items each month that they think you will like. They have an idea of what you might like because you fill out a little survey with questions about your style. You can also always write them notes as to what you’re looking for. For example, I’m tall, so when they send me small little dresses, it just ain’t gonna work.

Although I absolutely love it, I know that it isn’t for everyone. For example, if you regularly shop for yourself and you don’t find that you need anything sent to you, probably not for you. If you don’t like the surprise of not knowing what’s in the box, probably not for you. If you are a thrifter/deal finder, probably not for you. The prices of the items in the box are by no means a steal. And to be quite honest with you, I probably wouldn’t pay that much if I saw it in a store. But I understand that I am paying for the convenience of the box, the fun that it is, and the service they provide. And I’m okay with that.

If you think you’d love it, you can check it out here. You don’t pay anything until you chose to get a box. Feel free to pass this info along to friends you might think would enjoy StitchFix. I think you can also get gift certificates too!

Have a great Wednesday!

Pretty scarf! I’ve been tempted to try out Stitch Fix, but I’m such a picky shopper so I haven’t signed up yet. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it!

I totally understand! I don’t think it’s for everyone, but it is great that there really isn’t a huge obligation to keep anything. I mean, the $20 if you don’t like anything but I haven’t had a box I didn’t like!!

Nice photos! Your outfit looks great! It’s really cool that you love being surprised when a new package arrives and like to discover and try new types of clothes. Personally, I love shopping on my own so I know exactly what I’m getting.

I totally understand, that’s definitely what I mean by it’s not for everyone! Maybe if I had more time to myself to shop I’d like it too, but alas, I do not, so this works perfectly!
