How to Wear: Leopard Print

Are some styles hard for you to wear? Like you love it on others, but just don’t think you can pull it off? I feel ya, mine is mixing patterns. I just.can’ I want to work on it, but I wore this the other day & my husband said I didn’t match. So not much support there.

Anyway, I thought I’d take some styles or trends and talk about how they can be worn. Hopefully this will get you off the fence – either way – on whether or not you’d like to wear that trend. Leopard is a good place to start, right? Let’s do it.

How to wear Leopard Print 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5/ 6/ 7/ 8/ 9

Personally, I love this trend. I don’t have enough of it in my closet. I do have a skirt, scarf, shoes, and belt and I think that’s it. I’d love more. I consider it more of a neutral, it seems you can pair it with anything! In the photo above we have a little of everything. I thought I’d break it down for you so you could shop the trend however you want to wear it. Is that helpful?

Leopard Dresses

Ready to go all out? A dress or skirt is a perfect way to go all out with this trend. And I honestly like it! I don’t know if that’s the cave woman in me, but you can do so much with it. My favorite is probably the bottom left with the belt. So cute!

Leopard Print Skirts leopard skirts and jackets

If you’re not sure about going all the way there with a totally leopard printed dress, another starting point is a skirt or a jacket. Then really only half of you is animal print! If you’re uncertain, go with the jacket, you can always take it off!

Leopard Print Accessories

leopard belts, scarfs and clutches Scarves: one // two // three // four // five – oh shoot I just realized that’s the same as 1! Whoops!
Belts: one // two // three // four (only $9!!)
Clutches: one // two // three

Aren’t these fun? They can totally dress up any outfit for sure. I saw that I put that scarf twice after I made the picture – sorry! I must really like it! I have one similar, maybe that’s why. I also like the idea of thicker leopard belts. Wouldn’t that be so pretty with a black dress? Or even a red one! The options are seemingly endless.

Leopard shoes!

Shoes are always a fun way to dress up an outfit. Now throw some leopard on them and voila, you’re ready to go! What do you think about those bottom middle? They are all the rage in France and I’ve since seen them in the States. I think the leopard print’s kinda fun!

Leopard Pants

Aren’t these all so cute? I love that even with the print you can still have so many colors and styles. I love the bottom right I think the best, but gosh it’s hard to choose! I don’t have a pair of leopard print pants, but it’s looking like I need to snatch some up right away!

Phew — that’s a lot of leopard! I think we’ve pretty much covered how to wear this trend, don’t ya think?

So what do you think — what’s your favorite way to wear leopard print? Or how do you intend on starting to wear it? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Leopard is everywhere! and animal prints will always have a place in fashion, however I have always been a little timid to embrace the look…

I don’t have any animal accessories but I do have a couple of skirts in my closet, I obviously liked them well enough to purchase them but they haven’t been getting nearly the wear time that many of my other wardrobe pieces do. You have inspired me to pull them out, get creative and step out of my comfort zone a little. I also recently saw a leopard maxi dress that caught my eye that I am going to have to give a closer look…

Cute for some I am sure, but I am sorry those leggings just don’t do it for me….years ago I saw an ad where the captain of the local NHL team did a promo with his wife skating around both dressed in black and white dairy cow leggings promoting “milk”…I am afraid I just could not get that image out of my head wearing those LOL !!!

LOL so funny!! I guess that would have done it for me too. I think I would rock the leggings, but I’m a little crazy like that. I love that you’re inspired to get out your animal print skirts, so fun! I need to buy some! They would be perfect for winter. Now I have to go shopping!

For me i will start slow with animal print, like a scarf or flats. I haven’t been a big fan but something like an animal print accessory would be a great way to start.

Don’t forget to link up tomorrow for my weekly tres-chic fashion thursday link up.

Starting slow is a good idea and still a fun way to incorporate it into your style!
