July 7×7 Outfits

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to another 7×7 remix challenge! Last month me and a couple other cool bloggers did a challenge by taking 7 pieces of clothing & remixing them for 7 different outfits. Last month I was mean & included shoes in the 7 pieces. This month I tried to be a little more free with it and didn’t include shoes. (Here’s the details) Wow it really opens up the options!!

Here’s what I started with:

7x7 july

I thought I’d use this challenge for our little trip for the Bahamas. I did include one pair of pants but that’s just so my husband won’t call me a baby. He thinks I’m a wimp when it comes to the weather. (I might be…)

Anyway, here’s what I came up with:

7x7 summer

Isn’t it amazing that all those outfits, and I probably could have done more, were created with just 7 pieces? It’s really kind of fun, and makes packing for your next summer trip a little easier!

Here’s a break down of my outfits:

Shoes // Skirt  – similar // Top – similar

This skirt is a funky brown color and I can never seem to figure out what to wear it with. I like this orange top and the cream top for this challenge & that’s about it! Any suggestions?!

Pants // Shoes // Shirt – bought it in Europe but here’ s a cute one

Is it funny that this skeleton/Indian headdress shirt actually goes with quite a few things I own? So it’s perfect for a remix. I also stuck to the coral shades, just to make it easy.

Shoes – thrifted // shorts // top – similar

These shorts are to die for. And I got them on sale for $15 at Bebe. Score! They’re so comfortable and make your ‘mom uniform’ actually cute.

I kind like this outfit. It wasn’t something I would have thought of before, but that’s the beauty of the challenge! You find outfits you never knew you had!

Shoes // Shorts // Shirt – similar

White on white with colored sandals? Can’t go wrong, right? Another one I wouldn’t have initially thought of, but cute, right?

Shoes // Shorts // Shirt – similar

These are my cute DIY cut off shorts. So easy & I love them. This is definitely a comfy outfit for around town. My style exactly.

I like the way this outfit came together. In hindsight, I would have changed the shoes. Otherwise, the creams are pretty! And the hat — it was just sitting there on my shelf & I thought her let’s try it! So I did. Bam.

There you have it! Now check out the other girls:

Now it’s your turn! Here’s how you do it.

This Challenge was so much fun! Sadly it was 90+degrees on the day I took my pictures so by the end I was too hot to think about accessories.

    Thanks for the challenge!

Totally understand! It’s tough to get it all in!

Thank you! I bought that skirt totally last minute in France and wasn’t sure if it was a good purchase, but I like it!

great! wow you have a lot of shoes =) for that leopard skirt you could also maybe try a fitted brown tshirt (I have one, so that’s what made me think of it) with a bright statement necklace. I don’t know, I’m always struggling because I have like no accessories. I’m using this challenge to really evaluate my closet so that I can pare it down even more and hopefully focus on getting some good accessories.

I just went out and bought those shoes – each of them around $10, except for the Aldo ones, because my birthday is in August and my mom said she’d give me money. I needed sandals for BlogHer so I went to town! 🙂

That sounds like a good combo, but the only tight brown shirt I have is long sleeve. But great idea and I can probably wear that when I’m back in France. But that’s why I love this challenge, like you said, you get to see what you have, what you have and don’t wear, if you can remix it, and what you need to add to your wardrobe. It’s smart shopping!

Love the way you remixed all these! It’s fun to challenge yourself by limiting the choices, isn’t it?:)

Love your outfits! You look fabulous every day.

I was really going to try and play along this week, but things just got away from me. 🙁 Next time!

I totally understand, it almost got away from me too! Summers are busy, I think I’ll start again in September or something. Next time!
