So let’s talk about the #1 problem if you have short or thin hair…. It looks messy when you try to create hair style! If it’s short, pieces poke out all over the place. If it’s thin or really fine then its gotta be messy to create texture! But wait…what’s the problem again??? I can’t remember! I love messy hair! A really long time ago I realized that messy hair is stinking cute and versatile and full of personality and stylish! So let’s not worry anymore about creating a perfectly coifed look. Have fun with what God gave you and love your messy hair <3 One of the easiest and (messiest looks) I like to sport in the hot months is messy pigtail braids.
Listen, this is ridiculously easy and pretty darn cute for those quick mornings. The trick is to tease. In fact this would be the perfect style to spray in some dry shampoo before getting started. Even if your hair is clean, that stuff creates texture and thickness and I. LOVE. IT! Go buy some…. NOW! Anywho, where were we? Oh yes, tricks to this look. Ok, so tease up the top to create a nice poofy mess 🙂 Divide the hair into two sections without parting the poof. Braid each section, secure with a rubber band and pull apart gently. Then pin any loose pieces (as messy as you want) into the braids….see picture below for back view of hair. Easy? Can’t go wrong, can’t mess it up. Now I like that!
This look would also be cute with a scrunchy headband or under a cute hat. No thick or long hair required!
