So the weather here went from 60 degrees last week to a total snow storm this morning. I woke up to do my quiet time before I get my son ready for school and it was so snowy and so blizzardy that I just went back to bed. No joke. I decided it was a snow day.
At first I thought I was just being a big southern Californian baby, but then I found out that the schools were closed. Well, it’s a good thing I’m a baby then! I would have walked all the way to school to find it closed. That would have been a bad start to a day!
All that to say, my intended outfit pictures were a no-go since I didn’t step foot outside the apartment today. I had a super cute on in mind too, I think I’ll have to get to it at some point.
I was sitting here agonizing over what to post and then I thought, wait! Why can’t I put together a Polyvore outfit! It was kinda fun because Polyvore has a much larger wardrobe than I do. Mine’s actually pretty pathetic (working on that!). Anyway, I present to you, what-I-would-have-worn-if -here-wasn’t-a-blizzard-outside today outfit.
How cute is that blazer? I know my inspiration photo was a regular blazer, but I’d totally take this one instead. This one looks a little similar but in blue. Here is a white one that I think could be pretty. I like the idea of having a blazer with a different shape among my collection.
My all-time favorite skinny jeans are from H&M for about $30. I am wearing them as I write this! But I found some super cute Lucky Brand jeans. They are pricier, but my guess they’ll last longer!
So I was in a wedding back in December and the bride bought us all matching shoes which were – no joke – like 5 inch gold glitter heels. Similar to these but without the peep toe. And you know what, I loved them. I haven’t been able to wear them since, but I am on a mission to find a reason to! Oh and yes, I am already 6 feet tall, this would make me right up there with my husband! haha! They are the main inspiration for the photo above!
Hazel & Olive had this amazing bag, similar to the one above, but I can’t find it anywhere!! I need to be ready when they restock. In the meantime, I think I’ll buy this dress.
Oh and so lately, I’m obsessed with skull scarves & various other skull pieces of clothing! I don’t know what it is about them, I never used to think I’d like them! This one is adorable, but sorry Alexander McQueen, I’m not paying 300 buckaroos for a scarf! Geez louise! This one or this one – that’s more my speed. Although I must admit, while browsing I was drawn to almost every one of Alexander McQueen’s skull scarves. Maybe he’s onto something!
Okay, well seriously, that was therapeutic! It was like a little shopping spree but without spending the moola! Now I just know what I want to buy!
So how did you interpret this week’s inspiration? I understand it was a little late, and thank you so much for those of you who gave some feedback on Copy Cat Closet. I am going to continue it for now maybe just change up the inspirations I send a little bit.

That is a nice outfit. Is funny because I have never been into skulls, crosses, etc. but the skulls complements are everywhere now and I feel very tempted to get an scarve or a handbag just to give a bit of “rock & roll” look to my everyday clothes…
Seriously me too! I think they add a lot. I wasn’t in to them either, but not I love them! Weird how style can change
No new outfit post for me either, the weather is kind of non-existent today… it is not even getting lighter!
This blazer is amazing, I will have to order it, just can’t make up my mind on the colour but I think I will go for the cream one you showed.

Yay!! Thanks for linking! Check the next e-mail – just sent it out!
Ahh! That is so sweet! I have already seen a huge boost in the number of visitors I’ve had! I could credit this extra ‘oomph’ to all of my rockin’ blogs, but I think it was your kind words that did the trick!
As always, you’e awesome! Thank you so much Natalia!

Love the blazer and bag especially! But not crazy about skull things.
Ya I think they’re a like them or not kind of thing!
It might just be my age – I’m older than you.
I see a lot of skull things when my daughters shop at Claires, so I think of them more as a thing for young girls. Again, I think I’m just showing my age too much!
Well Claires now… That’s kinda really young isn’t it? Maybe I should be weary of the trend!
I’m not young any more! I’m 30 this year!
Well, that makes you young to me!
I’m 47!
