Winter is finally in full swing here in LA! And by full swing, I mean low 70′s semi-consistently. Which I am okay with since I’m going to France next week & I’ll be cold enough there!
One of the biggest challenges I have living between two very different climates is my wardrobe. I have to buy clothes that can be great for California “winter” and French winter. See how California “winter” is in quotes? Ya, there’s a reason for that. And if you live here or have been here, you understand.
So when I came across a variety of beautiful Old Navy sweaters, I was so excited. They are lightweight and comfy and also perfect for layering. Let me show you a few ways I’ve styled my sweater choice.
I know, to die for, right? The owl is too stinkin’ cute and I love it. They also have a fox one and three little sheep too. They have non-animal options (you can see Christie’s here). I was just drawn to this little owl.
Casual – day of errands
Probably one of the biggest challenges as a mom is trying to be cute while doing your mom job. Running errands. Playing cars on the mat. Wrestling. Playing basketball outside. (Can you tell I’m a mom of boys?) Pair your sweater with a pair of coordinating jeans and some casual kicks and you’re cute & ready to get work done!
Family Holiday Party
Even though this particular sweater looks a bit more casual, it doesn’t mean you have to wear it that way! I paired it here with my favorite chambray underneath, brown tights & skirt, and my boots. It’s dressed up enough to wear to maybe a family party, and cozy, comfy, and cute at the same time. Win-win if you ask me.
Fancy Night Out
Like I said, there’s no reason you can’t dress this sweater up! I love tucking it in and pairing it with this fancy skirt and some cute heels. The whole outfit has a very festive feel about it. This one actually might be my favorite.
If you live near snow, you can layer them. If you are in a warmer place, they’re already light. Need to pack for a weekend away? perfect, it won’t take up that much room & they’re so versatile you can wear them multiple ways! Definitely a must-have this holiday season!
