Copy Cat Closet – Color Blocking

Good morning and happy Thursday.  I first want to say thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart for your out pour of love and support on the blog yesterday for Christie.  She is encouraged by everyone’s kind words and support.  Bennet is doing well, had a great night after the first surgery and the will hopefully be able to hold their little baby again soon.

It kinda seems a little silly to talk about color blocking and outfits when we know of someone going through such a hard time, but Christie knows that we love and care about her.  I will continue to update you through it all.  And maybe, just maybe, when things have settled down a bit Christie will get on here and give her side of the story.  From a mother’s point of view.  Man, all I can say is get your Kleenex ready!

So for this week’s Copy Cat Closet challenge it was color blocking.  And although it can be done a lot of different ways, I chose bright fun colors because summer’s coming to a close and I thought it should go out with a bang!  Here is my outfit choice:

Shirt & Shorts: H&M // Shoes: Nordstrom Rack // Necklace: Lisa Leonard // Bracelet: Tiffany’s

Pink, yellow, and turquoise.  It goes, right?  My husband might say no, but I love it.  Don’t forget, accessories count too! I didn’t have any fun ones here, but I have seen some great ways to wear fun bright accessories.

My hair for this challenge was wearing a headband or a scarf or something in your hair.  I chose pink to continue the color blocking.  And the makeup challenge – BOLD lips!  You knew it was gonna come and you gotta embrace it!  Boy I can’t wait to see what you guys come up with.  I really hope you gave it a try, because once you get it, there’s no turning back!  It’s so much fun!

Headband & Earrings: Target // Necklace: Lisa Leonard

Okay it’s your turn!!  I cannot wait to see your outfits!  If you want to join in on our challenge, please do! We have a lot of fun with it.  And you can connect with some pretty awesome girls via the hashtag #copycatcloset on Twitter!
