Half Up Dutch Side Braid for Short Hair!

Remember Natalia’s Half Up Dutch Braid? Well I decided it was time to try it on myself πŸ™‚ Pretty much the same with some slight variation in the back. So let me walk you through it!

In the same exact fashion that Natalia worked hers out, I only did the braid on one side. This picture above gives you a good idea of what a “Dutch Braid” looks like. It is just an inside out French braid. If you do not know how to do one don’t worry! You could do a regular French braid or even just a loose braid. Now since my hair is shorter, my braid is shorter. So I pulled it back as far as it would go and bobby pinned it in.

Instead of trying to make the ends meet I just pulled each side back most of the way. Below is a better picture of how I pulled it up. If I had tried to make the ends meet it would not have looked as clean. I allowed some of the top hair fall over the pins to hide the ends.

And here it is from the front. I liked the way Natalia’s hair looked with the bangs left out and I think it looks cute with my shorter bangs as well. Trust me I know this is a weird picture I me, But it was the best one of the whole look… So there ya go!

Again, I hope this encourages you ladies with shorter hair to give some new looks a chance! Until next time! XOXO- Christie
