Getting Ready in 30 Minutes!

Have you been enjoying our “Getting Ready in….” series? If you missed the first two, go check out our 5 Minute and 15 Minute posts! Otherwise I am excited to show you a few ideas for getting ready in 30 minutes.  Yesterday I gave you this same look, but what I didn’t tell you is the entire thing took me about 30 minutes to pull together.

Here are the details:

For more details on my outfit check out my post about Styling a White Tank. The look was simple, chic and easy to pull together  so I could focus more time on my hair and makeup!

For my makeup I did my Summery Makeup look which is fresh and bright! I have been asked how I choose the shades of makeup for each look and I think that is a great question. I choose what look of makeup I am doing based on how I feel that day. I rarely base the colors I am using on the colors in my outfit. If you get hung up on what shades of shadows and lips to wear because of an outfit you are doing here is what I suggest. Take a step back, forget about your outfit and rock whatever makeup you feel like rocking that day. I am certain it will work!

For my hair, I ran a straightening iron through my top layer for some quick curls. (If you are unsure how to use a straightening iron to curl your hair check out my tutorial). Then I gathered my hair up in a messy side ponytail and stuck a couple bobby pins in to make sure my shorter pieces stayed in place. Quick and cute!

And for one more 30 Minute option…..

Here I did similar makeup to my look above, however I used my cat eye shape method on my eyes for a different, darker look. I used my straightening iron to curl my entire head for a great boho feel on short hair. This look definitely comes together quick with great results! That’s the key for me, people…..How can I get the best look in the shortest amount of time 🙂 Thanks for checking in! XOXO- Christie
