How to Wear a Head Wrap Different Ways in Short Hair

So summer is in full swing and we are busy busy busy everyday. I love the summer and all the fun activities we have going on but the fact that we are always rushed in the mornings to get to whatever thing we have going on that day. Plus my hair is short enough that If I am not going to spend some time on it, there is not much I can do besides a ponytail. So I am loving my long jersey scarf that I have been working a few different ways. I don’t have to worry about styling my hair and it gives me some fun variety.

Boho Freestyle

I really loved this look because it was FAST to pull together. My hair is kind of wavy and full of crazy cowlicks. I like to shower at night but this leaves my hair funky when I wake up in the morning. For whatever reason it totally worked with the head scarf style. All I did was take the scarf and tie it OVER all of my hair high on my forehead. Then I just yanked some of my hair out the top so that some was spilling out over the wrap while other pieces were still tucked underneath. Finished it off with some sea salt spray to give my hair texture and I was ready to go!

Turban Ease

Dirty Hair? No problem! Throw it up in a messy bun or in my case (since my hair is short) pin it up in complete chaos and wrap it up with this turban style headband. Need a tutorial on how to tie this style? Check out our previous tutorial on how to achieve this look. This is a great way to get your hair off your face and neck while creating a funky, fun look! Best thing, the messier the better! Have fun ๐Ÿ™‚

Urban Head Wrap Bun

This look is SO easy and super cute! Since my hair is so short the bun in the back consists entirely of the remaining scarf material but if you have longer hair your can create a fun interwoven look at the nape of you neck. All you do is pull the scarf over the top of your head in a position that you like. Then you pull your hair AND the scarf into a ponytail at the nape of your neck with a hair band. Then you wrap the scarf ย (and hair) up in a bun ย and tuck it in! That’s it!

Having fun with your hair (or hiding a bad hair day) does not have to take time! I ย pulled off all 3 of these looks in under 5 minutes easily (and I had never done them before ๐Ÿ™‚ )All of these looks work on every type of hair and I am pretty confident that they would look good on all face shapes too! Try something new this summer with alternatives to the simple ponytail or bun! XOXO- Christie

Love all the different things you do with your hair. I’m just learning to wear my hair is different styles. I’m not sure I can rock the head scarf/wrap, but I just might try it!

In today’s post, I’m looking slightly Stepford and I actually wore my hair up. That’s a big step for me. lol.
