3rd Trimester Style- One Dress, Two Ways

Ok guys, I am in my 30th week and my wardrobe options have gone down a ton all of a sudden. Much of what I could wear in my 2nd trimester is history. But I am not losing heart! I am still keeping up with my “no maternity clothes” challenge and I have put together for you a couple looks you can create with the same dress (which I will be doing A LOT of in the next 10 weeks).

Date Night

This dress is pretty short (especially now that with the bump) so it really is not practical for a day where I would be dealing with kids. But it was fun an sassy for a night out with my man or even with a group of girls. “Fun and Sassy” are not exactly easy to come by at this stage in the game but showing off the legs a bit made me feel like I still had a figure 🙂 The heels are obviously not an option right now for chasing around kids so I would surely limit these to a date night….preferably one where I would be sitting the majority of the time!

Casual Day

So this is what I wore to church today and I felt cute, modest and comfortable. Such a different take on the same dress. With jeans underneath it is super casual and fun. I am just loving the tank tied in a knot above my belly right now so I am working that look a lot. And the heels are actually really comfy, so they were not a problem. And I know I am making some crazy laughing faces, but they are all real. My dad was ruthlessly making fun of all my poses in the background 🙂 I’ll admit, I do feel pretty stupid sometimes!

Dress: Anthropologie, Tank & Shoes: Target, Jeans: ANGL

This actually may be one of my favorite looks for the whole pregnancy! I hope you have found some inspiration and some motivation to switch up your closet a bit! Make it work for you! Have a great week. XOXO- Christie

Hey Christie!  Saw you at church, but didn’t get a chance to talk to you.  I can’t believe you’re 30 weeks.  You look fantastic and you have awesome ideas.  I’ve forwarded links to some young women I know, who are pregnant.  They really are enjoying being able to repurpose their clothing and spend that money on baby things.  Great job!

Wow, Christie, I’m impressed with your “no maternity clothes” challenge! If anyone can pull it off it’s you! Just think how much money you’re saving! Joe must be impressed too! xo
