Styling Red Jeans

I have been in want for some red jeans for a while.  And last year at Zara here in France I found some!  I have mentioned before, but I am 6 feet tall and finding jeans can be quite the challenge sometimes.  Growing up I would feel totally self conscious when jeans didn’t hit the floor, I felt like I was wearing high waters.  But more and more I have become more confident in being the amazon woman that I am, and comfortable with my jeans where they fall.

So with my purchase of my fun red jeans I have been trying to come up with styling them differently.  Today I have a few different styles I like to wear for different occasions.  Hopefully you can take some inspiration from one or more of the looks and incorporate it into your wardrobe.   I also purchased nothing new for these outfits and since I purchased the jeans sometime last year, I would say this is successfully shopping my closet! 🙂

I love color.  I married a man from the Bahamas, and if you know anything about that country or the Caribbean in general, it’s that they love them some bright colors.  In fact, our wedding colors were Tiffany’s blue and orange!  And it was pretty, trust me.  So when I bought the jeans, the only natural choice here was to add some more color to it!  I chose this shirt because not only does it have the red that matches, it has other beautiful colors as well, yellow being the main one so that makes it fun and cheery.  I also paired it with some turquoise shoes which might not have been the obvious choice, but that’s the idea here!  This is a perfect casual, fun look perfect for just a busy day.

jeans: Zara // Shirt: Target // Shoes: Nordstrom's Rack

My hair is done in a hanging side braid and low side bun.  I loved this style, it was so fun and simple.  Holla if you want a tut for it!

Earrings: Smashion

I love this look.  Actually, I am in love with my chambray shirt!  I bought it in Sweden while visiting my friend this year and let me just say, thank you so much Stacy for talking me into buying it!  One of my best purchases this year.  It’s flowy, comfy, soft, long, it’s perfect.   And while I could go on gushing about my chambray shirt, all that is to say: go find one!  Find one that works for you that you love and then rock it with some red pants.  Or any colored jeans, really!

I chose a cute pony for this hairstyle because I thought it matched the casualness of the outfit.  I am working on a post called “the art of the perfect pony.”  What do you think?

Business Casual

This one is kinda pretend for me because my ‘business’ is staying home with my kids and this blog.  So really, my ‘business casual’ is me in my sweats.  But because no one wants to see that and I know some of you, heck probably a lot of you, work outside the home, I wanted to give ya a shout out!  I think you can pair your red jeans with a cute top, blazer and heels and it would be perfect for the office.

My husband loved my hair in this one which is funny because I literally just pinned one side and swept the rest over to the other side.  It already had a little curl, so I went kinda retro with it.  I guess he’s easy to please!

There you have it!  These are three different ways you can wear red jeans.  I know there are loads more, these happen to be my favorites as of the moment!  I hope you can take away a few ideas from here and work them into your own wardrobe!

Wow I think I was most drawn to the casual look. But I do love all 3. I tried to get green jeans but the sizes at target run so small so they were out of my size. Oh well, next year! Lol
Love the hair long and to the side too 🙂

Thanks! Have you tried H&M? They usually have some good stuff. Or I heard Forever 21 is good. Maybe you still have a chance!

Love all the looks and your hair is gorgeous with each one. I am SO not good at styling my hair in different ways. I really need to try to be more adventurous.
